Telehealth Psychologist Therapist Position- PsyPACT or CA License Required – Telemedica LLC/Valor Telehealth – Remote Part Time

Valor Telehealth is a COMPLETELY TELEHEALTH mental health agency which strives to offer collaborative, empathic, and effective treatment and evaluations for our nations veterans. We are a company that has been working with trauma survivors and veterans since 2017 and are based out of Utah. LOOKING FOR THERAPISTS

Our company is launching a therapeutic services team and we are currently looking for contract psychologists who have PsyPACT and/or are licensed in the state of California to provide psychotherapy utilizing several Evidence-Based Practices for individual veterans. In the future, we plan to include couples therapy, group therapy, child/adolescent therapy, and family therapy all via telehealth. We also plan to provide psychological testing within the next 2 years. As you can see, there are many opportunities for advancement and growth with our company. This position is NOT for evaluations, Independent Medical Opinions, or Independent Medical Evaluations.

We are looking for therapists who are trained in and regularly use (or are willing to be trained in):

• CBT
• ACT
• CPT
• EMDR (with training in remote delivery of EMDR)
• Interpersonal Therapy
• DBT
• Prolonged Exposure Therapy (with training in remote delivery of PE)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed Clinical Psychologist (we do not accept master’s level clinicians or school psychologists)
• Licensed in California and/or has PsyPACT
• Has own Malpractice Insurance up to $3 million
• APPIC and/or APA Internship
• Trained in at least one of the above EBPs
• Experience with veterans
• Experience with trauma preferred
• Proficient in use of Telehealth
• Proficient in use of Electronic Health Records
• Good communicator utilizing email, slack, and text
• Willing to complete one week of online training (approximately 6 hours a day) to become familiar with our company
• Excellent communication skills using technology

COMPENSATION

Job Type: Contract

-$55.00 – $85.00 per hour based on experience with veterans and number of EBPs you are proficient in. To be compensated at 85/hour you must have worked with veterans for at least a year and know at least 2-3 EBPs well

-$20 additional compensation pay for documentation of Treatment Plans and Biopsychosocial Assessments

-$25 additional compensation pay for discharge appointments

-$175 compensation pay for Nexus Letters

-$125 compensation pay upon therapist’s receipt of additional licenses

-$300 compensation pay upon therapist’s completion of training

-Free EBP trainings, many of which earn CEUs

EXPECTATIONS:

-Arrive at all sessions on time

-50 minute sessions to give you time between clients to write notes

-Willing to write comprehensive, collaborative Treatment Plans using SMART goals (additional documentation fee will be paid to you for this)

-Willing to update Treatment Plans as needed using SMART goals

-Willing to review outcome measure at each appointment

-Willing to write Biopsychosocial Assessments for all clients (additional fee will be paid to you for this)

-Understanding that this is a contract position

-Willing to read and understand Policies and Procedures Manual

-Notes completed within 48 hours/2 business days

-Completion of training with administrative staff and Clinical Director which will take 1 week (7 days, 6 hours a day) and you will be compensated $300 at end of training

-Maintain licensure and be a psychologist without formal complaints

-Attend monthly all staff meeting on Thursday nights

-May choose to attend case conference

-May choose to attend free trainings

-Be technologically savvy and have access to and utilize a computer in a private, quiet space
