Technology Project Manager – The ALS Group – Remote Part Time

The ALS Group is looking for a highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit. The environment is fast and the urgency is high in this role. The person in this position must be deadline driven, have strong attention to detail and be able to be innovative in their approach. This position is responsible for the growth of the Firm’s technology platform(s) and management of IT projects while working alongside our developer(s) to keep projects aligned with management’s goals and expectations. Being able to present progress and ideas to leadership is a must.

General requirements:

· Have a good understanding of SQL, MySQL, PHP Laravel, HTML, CSS, Python & .net;

· Have obtained a Bachelor’s degree with a Technology major;

· Have had to migrate a database in a previous role or managed such a project;

· Be able to report progress on projects weekly while working directly with the WebDatabase Developer;

· Possess excellent time management and organizational skill;

· Familiarity with testing and setup of a new SQL database;

· Query Processing and coding is a plus;

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook;

· Have the ability to be innovative and solution oriented. Be able to improve current systems, automation and portals that are able to provide information and reporting both internally and to clients.

Basic Job Functions:

· Manage multiple tasks that support the growth and efficiency using technology;

· Conduct testing and functionality of current databases evaluating the way multiple databases interact;

· Desktop support function for existing office;

· Manage the various technology projects from inception to conclusion;

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Technology management: 2 years (Preferred)
