Staff Accountant (Part-Time)

TruSpan is looking for an Staff Accountant to support its small business clients. You’ll have an opportunity to manage the day to day financial activities for the client on your own schedule on a part time basis, approximately 10-15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations including: month and end-year process accounts payable/receivable cash receipts general ledger payroll and utilities treasury, budgeting cash forecasting revenue and expenditure variance analysis, asset tracking, bank reconciliations, check runs fixed asset activity debt activity
  • Manage inventory and reconcile assets and project accounting

  • Produce monthly financial reports, present to management and run weekly update meetings with the client team.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits Provide recommendations Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy Meet financial accounting objectives Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Skills

  • Experience with inventory and reconciliations
  • Systems XERO, Netsuite, DEAR Inventory, Gusto
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Bachelors Degree
  • CPA or Candidate preferred
