ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Part time Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Engineer Located in Honolulu, HI, that will provide VTC support, operations, design, and maintenance aspects of the VTC infrastructure. This position will Manage VTC integration projects through all stages of the lifecycle from initial design phase through implementation. Remote work is allowed.
Responsibilities
- Document infrastructure changes that support VTC systems to include CAD drawings, and project specific engineering plans.
- Installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Cisco video conferencing equipment.
Configuration of VTC endpoints in Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS) and Video Communication Server (VCS). In depth understanding of Cisco Meeting Manager (CMS) and Cisco Meeting Manager (CMM) Video conferencing. * Provides hands-on assistance involving troubleshooting and diagnostic support for all VTC system issues.
- Responsible for evaluating, designing, documenting, installing, implementing, testing, maintaining, operating, removing, and upgrading, and modifying video teleconferencing equipment systems.Qualifications
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of directly related experience supporting AV/VTC Operations.
- BA/BS degree in a related technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics) or HS/AAS Degree with a combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
- 5 years Crestron and AMX Programming experience
- AMX and/or Extron Certification.
- Polycom VTC, CISCO/Tandberg VTC/DVTC Experience
- Experience with the Department of Defense (DOD) classified and unclassified environments.
- Knowledge and use of IEEE 802.3 Ethernet, TCP/IP, QoS, ISDN, Firewall Traversal, SIP, H.323, H320.
- Knowledge DoD Video Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) processes.
- Ability to design and set-up management interface, bandwidth utilization, zone distribution, dial plan, telephony integration among other VTC enterprise system requirements.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong time-management skills
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Outstanding communications skills (Verbal/Telephone/Written)
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a fast pace, demanding
