Greenwich Medical Spa (GMS) is an industry leading, award-winning medical spa providing non-invasive cosmetic treatments. GMS was established in 2005 with the unwavering mission to inspire confidence and empower our patients, employees, and communities.
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing Accounting department. The primary responsibility of this role include overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the company’s financial procedures and statements are being adhered to. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance & HR.
Essential Responsibilities:

• Review and manage accounts payable
• Review and analyze financial data and create reports on financial status based on analysis
• Create timely and accurate accounting reports such as sales reports, monthly financial statements with comparison to budget, etc.
• Develop recommendations to optimize company’s accounting systems and procedures and detect inaccuracies
• Support and consult company’s personnel on accounting control procedures
• Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and review risk areas
• Supervise and delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team
• Assist in the design and preparation of the annual budget for review by executive management
• Participate in department’s goal setting activities and month-end and year-end close processes
• Support business processes and accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation
• Performing other duties as assigned

To be successful in this position, you will bring
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and three years relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience in addition to proven month-end and year-end close experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Good practical experience with accounting software QuickBooks
• Good knowledge of financial accounting statements
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and understanding of group dynamics. Successful track record of establishing credibility and trust with a diverse client group.
• Strong analytical and qualitative skills with accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, judgment, and influencing skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare clear and concise reports and deliver formal presentations or training.
• Demonstrated proficiency with business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite
