Registered Nurse
If you’re an RN and you’re interested in providing meaningful patient care while improving work-life balance, join our team as a work-from-home Triage Nurse.
CareXM provides fast access to quality, compassionate after-hours RN telephone triage care to the patients and caregivers of our nationwide hospice and home health partners. Our growing team is filled with dynamic, caring people who are innovating with technology to help nurses and other clinical teams improve the patient experience.
We are looking for bright and talented RN’s who value providing quality patient care, but who want the flexibility of working from home, primarily on evenings and weekends. Our nurses have reclaimed the time, cost and hassle of their daily commutes and enjoy working flexible shifts varying between 4-12 hours. A minimum of 20 hours per week is required, including 40 Saturday/Sunday hours over 4 weeks.
We rely on our nurses to communicate with tact and empathy, especially when hospice and home health callers are in crisis. Each RN needs a solid background in clinical nursing along with the ability to multitask and think quickly while speaking on the phone with patients, caregivers and facility staff.
Our nurses are comfortable using computers, communicating via phone, and willing to learn and adapt to new technologies needed for working from home. All you need is a computer with reliable high-speed internet, and a quiet workspace free from background noise.

Our team of nurses work
20+ hours weekly (ability to sign up for 20-32 hours weekly), primarily
weekends/evenings and some holidays.
Our nurses enjoy working from their own home office and do provide their own computers, high speed internet and phone line. A quiet work space that is free from family or external noises is a must. Training is provided and paid. No hands on care or travel is required. All nurses enjoy the benefits of working from home, providing care, without the stress and expense of commuting each day or cost of “going to work”. Nurses will accumulate Paid Time Off and be reimbursed for the cost of required state license.
Requirements:
- Must have an RN license in a compact state (in good standing). Additional state licenses, especially CA, are a plus.
- Must be willing and eligible to obtain additional RN licenses in other states, for which you will be reimbursed; WA, OR, CA, HI, Washington DC, PA and IL
- 1+ years of clinical nursing experience required. Experience in home health, palliative and/or hospice care preferred.
- English fluency required. Spanish is a plus.
- Must be able to work 20+ hours weekly with 10 of the 20 hours on the weekend.
- Must be available to work some hours each holiday.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally, using tact, empathy and compassion even in stressful situations.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and use critical thinking skills while speaking to patients/callers.
- Must be able to effectively communicate appropriate triage advice using written clinical protocols, technology tools and your nursing background.
- High level of comfort using technology to access patient/client information in a remote office environment.
- Able to pass drug screen and background check
Compensation: $23.00-$24.00 per hour depending upon licensing and experience. Weekend differential pay is an additional $1.00 – $2.50/hour.
