Founded by experienced technologists and executives from TripAdvisor and SAP, we’re looking for a smart, entrepreneurial publicist / marketer who enjoys promoting what we do and making a positive impact on users.
Our ideal candidate has exceptional analytical, writing, communications, and organizational skills and is excited to roll up their sleeves and help raise our awareness with the media and consumers. The candidate will work closely with our leadership to further establish our company as a thought leader.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate with our data team, spokesperson, and other members of the company
- Analyze, research and write data-driven content
- Write and send pitches to online/digital publications, TV, radio, podcasts, etc
- Build and maintain media lists
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with members of the press
- Respond and handle media inquiries
- Coordinate interviews
- Develop media outreach and content promotion strategies
- Promote content on social media
- Track and report results of campaigns such as media coverage on a regular basis
- Analyze campaign effectiveness and understand what worked and what didn’t
- Create process documents and make suggestions for improving workflow
- Monitor and stay up-to-date with current news and trends in the automotive market
- Brainstorm ideas for new data-driven content compelling to the media and consumers

- Must be passionate about taking ownership of projects from start to finish
- Must love data and have a savvy, analytical approach
- Bring highly effective writing skills to data-driven content
- Experience and comfort interfacing with the press
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Be deadline and detail-oriented
- Experience as a journalist, writer, publicist, or editor
- Interest and experience promoting data-driven insights and content to help consumers with their car shopping experience
- Easily builds rapport, develops, and maintains strong relationships with both media and authors
- Strong self-leadership skills and ability to work independently
- Strong team player, able to negotiate and adjust workload or work process to meet needs of the team
- Proficiency with gmail and Google Docs and Sheets, Microsoft Office including Excel, Slack, and digital workflow software
- Results-oriented and self-motivated
- Be an innovative thinker who can align big-picture goals with daily tasks
- Be enthusiastic and motivated to learn about our company and help us grow
- Ability to thrive in a fun company culture that relies on contribution and teamwork
- Familiarity with Cision
- Familiarity or experience with SEO
