As an Outreach Specialist, you will develop and implement outreach for speaking engagements, workshops and media to support the growth of our clients’ personal development business. We have a completely remote team and are a family-oriented company with lots of growth potential.
In the last 4 years, we’ve grown in all areas of our business. As a virtual assistant, you will play a big role in that continued growth.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with at least 2 years of VA “Virtual Assistant” experience working with an online business who has experience with engagement on platforms such as Linkedin, Facebook & Instagram. Copywriting skills are a must, and experience in media or public relations is a huge plus!
Skills / Experience Required:
- You have excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
- You’re creative and willing to create first drafts for outreach communication or presentations based on general outline, direction and understanding of the client’s brand.
- Social Media Marketing Experience: LinkedIn, Facebook, & Instagram.
- Video Editing Experience
- You are exceptionally organized with an extreme attention to detail.
- You have excellent time and project management skills
- You love research. There’s nothing you can’t figure out or find online.
- Willing to take initiative, move ideas forward without micro management.
- You have a “no task is too big or small” attitude with a strong ability to embrace change at a moment’s notice, shifting priorities instantly to meet tight deadlines and objectives.
- You are teachable; have a willingness and desire to learn
- You’re comfortable working remotely with virtual teams – willing to attend monthly team meetings/team communication.
What the role entails:
- Supporting and developing media outreach strategy and implementation for the client in alignment with their brand and voice.
- Updates media pitch decks and templates, track outreach, correspondence follow through, and email management.
- Spearhead the strategy for outreach protocol (deciding which social media platform/outreach vehicle is most appropriate for each promotion/offer).
- Social media (design graphics, post, and content creation)
- Create captions that are on brand, have a call to action, and increase engagement
- Research and select hashtags
- Support the overall social media strategy and maintain content calendar
- Staying current with current social media trends and technology
- Graphic design (slides for presentations and workshops)
- Video Editing (make videos, edit/insert graphics) – take the footage and turn it into a series of educational and entertaining short form (15-60 secs) videos for social media. Find royalty-free music that complements the message/subject.
- Edit Instagram Reels, Youtube Videos, TikTok Videos
- Setting up marketing funnels
- Research and submit media and podcast interview pitches
- Customer research
- Administrative tasks
- Create Keynote/Powerpoint presentations
Time commitment: 30-40 hours a month minimum
Technology experience preferred (Not required but preferred):
- Canva, Adobe Premier, Capcut
- Word, Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint, Google Workplace (Google Docs, Google Sheets & Google Drive)
- Project management apps for managing projects, tasks, and operational data such as ClickUp, Asana, Monday, or Trello
- Calendly, OnceHub, Acuity
