Full Job Description
Wize is looking for talented educators who will contribute to the ongoing development of our online on-demand study resources for university students. As one of Wize’s stellar educators, you will create lessons and practice questions in your area of expertise on our innovative online platform to help college/university students understand their course material and prepare them for their quizzes, tests, and exams. Here at Wize, we are interested in helping as many students as possible succeed on their academic journeys. We are looking for passionate educators who will join us in creating engaging, scalable, online study resources for university students across North America.
Overview
- Complete a training program to become a Wize Instructor (the training will include everything you’ll need to be successful with Wize and you’ll have access to live online support with one of our team members every step of the way.)
- Build and iterate on online lesson plans that summarize all key concepts for your subject of expertise
- Create practice questions with full solutions on our platform
- Record and edit high quality video tutorials for the online courses, including explanations of key concepts and step-by-step solutions for practice questions
- Improve the quality of our existing materials
- Answer student questions
Who you are
- You are an exceptional educator that is skilled at simplifying concepts for students, with a track record of success
- You are passionate about helping students achieve their full potential and enjoy teaching
- You are a clear and engaging speaker
- You are detail-oriented and experienced with creating organized lesson plans (or similar presentation skills)
- You are comfortable with technology
- You are an expert in at least one of the following subjects at the university/college level:
- Accounting
- Biology
- General Chemistry
- Computer Science
- Economics
- Engineering
- Finance
- Linear Algebra
- Mathematics & Calculus
- Organic Chemistry
- Physics
- Physiology
- Psychology
- Statistics
Bonus Qualifications
- Experienced teacher or tutor
- Experience teaching online (online tutoring, YouTube channel etc.)
- Experience teaching university students
- Masters or PhD in teaching subject

Training Program: Hesitant about the online platform or recording process? Don’t be! We’ll make sure you have the tools and know-how to teach online with the best of them. Whether you’re already tech-savvy or your tech skills could use an upgrade, we’ll customize training to your specific needs.
On-going Support: We’ll provide guidance as you build new online lessons, assist you to ensure all the necessary content is covered, help you create unique online lesson notes, and suggest strategies for making your online classes engaging for students.
