Medical Strategic Planning Internship

Pay: $30.00 an hour

3 month contract opportunity, starts in September

Full or Part-time hours

100% remote to candidates on the East Coast or Midwest

Open to Masters and PHD level candidates

Work & Responsibilities:
· Support the development and successful execution of strategic medical plans, special initiatives, and performance tracking/reporting for select brands.

Phases of the Projects:
1. Develop Strategic Imperatives
o Develop SWOT analyses to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges to the brand
o Organize and help moderate the strategic workshops
o Support the 2023 Strategic Imperatives development
o Facilitate legal review/final approval
o Prepare the Strategy Pre-read for the Strategy check-in with the USLT

2. Monthly and Quarterly Reforecasting/Tracking
o Work with the oncology teams on a monthly basis to reforecast underspend/overspend from prior month’s actuals
o Work with the oncology teams to realign/ reforecast their tactical budget from the original OP, based on the latest understanding of the future work/expenses

3. Develop Tactical Plan
o Consolidate tactical list from the cross-functional teams and support the development of the draft tactical plan
o Organize and help moderate the tactical workshops
o Support amendment of tactical plans following workshop
o Facilitate legal review/final approval
o Prepare the Pre-read for the tactics check-in with the USLT

Daily Work:
· In addition to project work, the intern will be expected to understand the therapeutic area they are supporting, (i.e., MOA, therapeutic landscape, patient journey, etc.) to keep the patient’s needs at the center of their thinking and their activities

Time commitment:
· Full time/part-time for 2-3 months
· Fall term (Mid-late September start)
· Remote to EST and CST time zones

Requirements:
· Senior Master’s (2nd year), PhD Candidate (3+years) or Postdoc
