Marketing Coordinator – Hello Sunshine Rentals – Remote Part Time

Current State of Reservations:

Hello Sunshine Rentals is a short-term rental business with 7 properties in Atlanta, GA, 1 property in Chattanooga, TN and 1 property in Asheville, NC. The properties range in size from 2 bedrooms to 8 bedrooms, and our guests include vacationing families and friends, those celebrating birthdays, bachelorettes and other special occasions, business people attending nearby conferences or hosting a retreat, and traveling sports teams. Guests stay from 2 to 7 nights typically and most of our guests book with us using a third party platform (Airbnb or VRBO). While we have excellent ratings and the vast majority of guests love their stay, they do not typically return. We do not currently have any active marketing outside of the standard property listing on Airbnb and VRBO and the existence of our own website, hellosunshinerentals.com.

Goal:

We’d like our marketing to increase revenue by:

• Drive reservations further out (1 mo+ away)

• Drive reservations during typically slow days of the week (weekdays)

• Drive repeat business from our past clientele and their friends and family and influence them to book directly with us using our website

Job Description:

Marketing Coordinator: Short Term Rental Travel and Tourism

Summary:

Looking for a long term contract/freelance marketer to help grow Hello Sunshine Rental reservations thru marketing campaigns, identifying new marketing avenues, and returning guest initiatives. Strong writing skills and familiarity with tourism marketing or personal travel experience required, as well as familiarity with websites, photography, video, social media, SEO, Paid Search and different software programs. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.

Travel/Tourism Marketing

• Stay up to date on tourism travel trends, social media and marketing trends.

• Assist in managing the distribution, advertising sales, editorial content and timeline of the visitor guides, maps, marketing pieces and sponsorship deliverables as needed

• Research new tourism options to best promote the tourism industry, services and opportunities throughout regions with Hello Sunshine Rental properties

• Design and implement tourism marketing programs and efforts to promote rentals

• Handle all aspects of the Hello Sunshine Rentals social media and web marketing tactics, including tourism event web-listings, movie production listings, google ad worlds

• Market the rentals through social event listings, social media sites, Chamber websites, brochures and print media.

• Assist in the creation of tourism ads for local and regional outlets, influencers or other entities

• Personal international travel experience

• Computer skills (Word, Excel)

• Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented

• Hands on familiarity with websites, SEO, Email Campaign Development & Execution and Organic & Paid Social media marketing

• Excellent e-writing and editing skills

Compensation: Hourly Rate, $20/hour.

Hours Projection: 5-10 average hours a week / Fluctuate based on projects
