Licensed Professional Counselor – Discover & Recover Counseling Services, LLC – Remote Part Time

We are seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Therapist to join our team! You will provide recovery-oriented rehabilitation services in group or individual settings. In the Therapist role, you will provide virtual counseling to adult men and women with substance abuse and mental health issues in the state of Texas. The role is virtual and on a contract basis.

LPC job duties

Conduct psychosocial assessments to document the history and identify preliminary issues for treatment by interviewing the client and family (if applicable), and transcribing or dictating relevant information for the client’s records.

• Provide therapy, family support, and crisis interventions to an individual, family, and/or group using various treatment modalities as outlined in the state/local contracts and/or state licensing standards.
• Provide mental health consultation to stakeholders and treatment team members.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in coordination with an interdisciplinary team
• Work with members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate other treatment initiatives.
• Develop and coordinate discharge plans based on treatment, indicating all relevant aftercare needs and plans.
• Conduct educational groups.
• Conduct regularly scheduled face-to-face meetings with the person served and caretaker to monitor progress and discuss treatment strategies and services.
• Maintain current, legible, and adequate medical record documentation in the client’s chart.
• Attend regular staff meetings, clinical meetings, and one-on-one sessions with direct supervisors to process the current status of cases.
• Adhere to state-required training as needed. The cost is the counselor’s responsibility.

Qualifications:

• LPC required in the state of Texas
• Master’s Degree in counseling related fields
• At least 2 years’ experience
• Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly in a virtual environment
• A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance

Requirements

• Licensed by a State Board to provide therapy (e.g., LPC, Master’s, or PsyD).
• In good with the Licensed by a State Board
• Experience in therapy for adults, couples, and/or teens
• Writing skills
• Reliable Internet connection
• Currently residing in the US and
• liability insurance
