Licensed Mental Health Therapist – Ardeo Counseling, LLC – Remote Part Time

Ardeo Counseling is a thriving Perinatal Mental Health practice where new parents and their families can find support, guidance, and evidence-based treatment for Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), birth trauma, and infertility. It is our singular goal to help parents access resources and competent providers who are passionate about Perinatal Mental Health.

Therapist Job Responsibilities:

• Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients.
• Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders.
• Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
• Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress.
• Involves and advises family members when appropriate.
• Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
• Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
• Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.
• Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Ardeo Counseling is seeking Independent Contractors who are motivated and excited by private practice and working with our unique clientele. This position is for Telehealth/Virtual appointments only, and does not require or offer in office hours at this time. Hours and scheduling are flexible to your needs; a minimum of 10 client hours per week is preferred. Compensation is competitive with other practices in Maryland, and is dependent on experience, qualifications, and certifications.

Therapist Qualifications/Skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to build rapport quickly
• Detail oriented
• Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy
• Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
• Current with all Maryland state licensing requirements, including LCPC, LCSW-C and LMFT
• Experience with Perinatal Mental Health (strongly preferred)
• Two years’ clinical experience (strongly preferred)
• Must be certified in Perinatal Mental Health or able to achieve certification within one year of hire date.
• Education and experience using EMDR (preferred)
• Paneling with Insurance Providers (preferred)
