LEGAL MARKETING SPECIALIST – McNeill Baur PLLC – Remote Part Time

McNeill Baur PLLC, a certified woman-owned biotech and pharma-focused IP boutique, is looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy, self-motivated marketing specialist with at least three years of legal marketing experience, preferably with an Intellectual Property law firm or practice group. The successful candidate will have superior writing, editorial, and proofreading skills. Attention to detail, strategic thinking, and the ability to work independently to move projects forward is crucial.

Partnering with the management committee, partners, and operations manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Handle maintenance of firm website content and internet presence (i.e., posting events, articles, and LinkedIn posts, etc.)
• Manage the development and coordination of internal and external marketing materials, including marketing materials for attorneys, time sensitive firm announcements, sponsorship advertisements, and newsletters.
• Coordinate new client proposals, including RFPs and outside counsel agreements with partners and external clients and vendors as appropriate
• Report firm statistics for use in marketing materials
• Manage and coordinate the firm’s industry ranking materials to include preparing and submitting marketing surveys (i.e., MIP IP Stars, IAM)
• Researching and identifying new opportunities for firm rankings and branding.
• Provide support and coordinate with attorneys for all speaking and outside marketing events.
• Support human resources with new hire onboarding (ie: photograph scheduling, professional biography development, and training). Firm event planning to include scheduling monthly virtual lunch and coffee meet-ups, social in-person lunch events, and coordinating with human resources on the firmwide retreat.
• Coordinating, purchasing and distributing firm anniversary and holiday gifts for employees
• Work with outside vendors as needed on promotional items
• Other administrative duties as needed, such as coordinating firm activities and meetings.

Qualified candidates will also have strong technical skills, including solid proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat a must. Web editing experience using Surreal CMS or another comparable web editing tool is preferred. Working knowledge of Constant Contact a plus. Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple assignments while remaining flexible.
