Insurance Verification Specialist

Looking to join a growing, dynamic, customer-focused organization that is paving new channels of providing Mobile Medical Testing for ENTs and Neurology professionals. Topple Diagnostics provides comprehensive vestibular testing within the office of the ENTs or Neurologists to ensure a comfortable and efficient atmosphere for the patient. Topple Diagnostics has successfully been providing these boutique services for over four years and is looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused individual to join their team in providing outstanding service.

Your administrative role will be to partner with the ENT/Neurology office, patient, and their insurance company to seek insurance approval and schedule testing appointments to ensure a comfortable and seamless experience. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter that MUST work remotely (in the Atlanta area) supporting both the medical practice and patients. Full-time hours could be a possibility with company growth (In 6-12 months)

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and performs verification of insurance benefits by utilizing web-based verification software, or by contacting insurance providers directly, and determining the eligibility of coverage and estimated costs for services.
• Communicates the status of the verification/authorization process with appropriate team members and patients quickly and efficiently.
• Provides clinical information as needed, emphasizing medical justification for procedure/service to insurance companies.
• Documents appropriate information regarding benefits to be received by the doctors, and the subsequent financial responsibility of the patients.
• Schedules and verifies appointments for patients. Communicates appointments to team members quickly.
• Reviews testing protocol/information to ensure accuracy.
• Proactively acts as a liaison between Topple Diagnostics, patients, medical practice, and insurance companies by informing patients and families of authorization delays/denials, answering questions, offering assistance, and relaying messages of authorization of procedure/service.
• Provides ongoing communication to physician offices, patients/families, and others as necessary to resolve insurance authorization issues.
• Future opportunities, if successful, in handling logistics and managing territories for a greater region

Qualifications:

• College experience or relevant working experience equivalent
• 3-5 years experience with insurance verification, precertification, billing, related insurance position, or equivalent education.
• Previous experience with Waystar billing system and Athena is a plus.
• Familiar with the ENT and audiology field to understand insurance codes.
• Working knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Personable customer service approach and exceptional communication skills.
• Strong ability to work independently and be an exceptional problem-solver.
• Must be highly motivated and self-driven.
• Good understanding of the Atlanta region as scheduling of mobile associates requires proficiency in regional logistics.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proficient computer and typing ability.
• Exceptional ability to multi-task and take initiative to resolve insurance approvals.

Salary: $18+ depending on experience

Work Hours: 8a-12:00p

Weekend Requirements: No

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
