Our core product is a cloud-based desktop for apps created in our integrated app-development environment, Ipso.
Applicants should build their own apps in the integrated IDE and have feedback on the functionality of the general environment as well as the app development environment before submitting resumes. Applicants can begin submitting resumes beginning July 2022.
To get started, download an installation file for the beta release from foliodesktop.com/downloads. File size is approximately 100 MB. Under the user options menu, select “Request Domain” (various other language settings available).
Request a domain. For faster approval, avoid well-known brand names and generic terms. “Sam’s Golf” may be approved. “Golf” may not. Spaces and special characters other than @ are allowed.
Next, you will receive an email with the status of your approval. Once you have an approved domain, sign in to start building apps. Publish an app to your domain, if you choose. Domain requests may take 12 – 24 hours for a decision.
You can access the Folio application from the app’s desktop. You will be able to complete the application process in July through that app.
Additional guidance for creating apps, adding users to your domain, and other tips will be available soon. This is a beta release of the primary application and a beta release of the Ipso IDE, File Manager, and all initial sub-applications. We make no warranties, assurances, or guarantees.
Experienced app developers should be able to create their first apps in minutes. Add procedure names; add procedure line logic; set up default objects and events; click run to see results. Start an app on one device and continue work on another to see more system functionality.
