Job Brief

We are looking to expand our team and are looking for a very driven, hard-working, and self-starting individual who’s wanting more than to just clock in and receive a paycheck. We are looking for someone who truly wants to make a difference in our client’s lives.

We are looking to add a passionate and experienced team member to assist with our web design and development department that will help with building and maintaining client’s websites.

The main goal of our Front-end Developer is to be able to not only execute on development but understand the design and user experience as well. The websites we design and develop are very strategic from a psychological and sales standpoint so the user experience must be flawless.

If you have full-stack and back-end experience, that is a HUGE plus for us.

The Front-end Developer position is one of the most important roles at our company so if you’re not a 10/10 for wanting to crush it at your job, please save both of our time and do not apply for this position! We have a very thorough vetting process so please no “Developer gurus” that are just starting out, as it’s a waste of both of our time because we will read right through it.

We are hiring a few Front-end Developers so we have options of being project-based, hourly, part-time, and full-time.*

Responsibilities

• Converting PSD or Website Designs into Wordpress theme

• Experience working with Elementor or other page builders (makes the CMS easier to use for clients)

• Work with a graphic designer to implement guidelines for web design

• Ability to code responsive websites or turn websites into responsive sites

• Must have the ability to write readable, maintainable, and efficient code

• Ability to work with all Google tools

• Analyze, review, and modify websites by maintaining, documenting, testing, and coding.

• Determine site architecture, build, etc. for new and existing web projects

• Communicate with the project manager about project updates and timelines

• Manage the roll-out of new client websites

• Installing and setting up WooCommerce or Shopify backends (eCommerce functionality and set up)

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Front-end Developer

• Excellent knowledge of browser troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques

• Good time-management skills

• Great interpersonal and communication skills

• Good problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery

• Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.

• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.

• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools

• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
