Accounting Specialist (Part Time – Remote) – Jenny Craig – Remote Part Time

We have an immediate need for an experienced Accounting Associate to join our Accounting team!

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the compilation of data required for business license reporting including filing with appropriate tax authority and processing payments
• Partner with Tax Specialist and Legal staff to ensure proper documentation is obtained for business license filings.
• Assist with filing personal property tax returns and understanding tax laws in relevant jurisdictions.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Create and maintain appropriate documentation in an organized fashion
• Ability to develop rapport with internal and external customers and foster a culture that creates positive relationships
• Work collaboratively with the accounting and finance team
• Contribute to system and process improvements to support growing business
• Other Ad hoc projects as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• At minimum, must have a High School Diploma
• Experience in a multiple location retail environment
• Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Excel and Word

Other Skills:

• Knowledge of business license filing is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be an effective team player and be empathetic
• Ability to be pro-active and to put facts together to solve problems
